The 19th Korea International Broadcast Audio and Lighting Equipment Show in Seoul attracted much attention from broadcasters and the general public alike. The four-day exhibition was held at COEX from May 26 to 29 under the theme of "Wake Up Your Digital Emotion." It attracted about 10 percent more visitors to its seminars and conferences during the exhibition than in previous years.
This year's exhibition was divided into several categories based on equipment. There were a large number of equipment categories, including broadcasting, editing and production, computers and networking, output systems, relay systems, transmission systems, camera facilities, multimedia, conversion, professional audio, recording, lighting, and stage facilities. This wide variety gave visitors a wide overview and allows appreciation of new broadcast industry trends.
Audiences packed into rooms for seminars on file NPS systems, AT-DMB technology trends, and next-generation image compression techniques. Debate heated up over digital conversion and IPTV. Broadcast engineers especially paid attention to new technology trends, including DMB 2.0. The seminar on TV program production systems attracted the largest audience during the exhibition period.
