The main purpose of the show is basically to increase cable TV viewers’ satisfaction with the service and strengthen the competitiveness of the HD content development sector through digital cable TV public relations.
In the show, companies such as the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Samsung Electronics, Aris Technologies, Alticast, and Humax Digital will show various kinds of merged solutions such as 3DTV, 1 GB digital cable transmission systems and widget set-top boxes, which show Internet content through the TV.
“We will play a leading role in building an advanced digital Korea by providing digital cable services to all the people in Korea,” Kil Jong-sup, chairman of the KCTA said. “We’re also going to try our best to give to customers the benefits from competition among companies to cut service charges.”
