World IT Show 2009 will feature exhibits by the usual industry heavyweights including SK Telecom, KT, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics as well as about 700 other companies hoping to showcase their latest products and solutions. Numerous products and services will be geared to one major topic which is already putting its stamp on World IT Show 2009 and the entire IT sector this year: Green IT, as this year's theme of the World IT Show is Feel the New Convergence of Green IT.
Among industry heavyweights, SK Telecom, Korea's largest mobile telephony operator, will be one of the most spotlighted exhibitors with its new IT convergence technologies such as smart grids, a technology and industry convergence model between IT and energy, and advanced mobile networks and devices.
KT, Korea's biggest telephone company overall, is also expected to impress visitors with its state of the art Green IT technology as it recently announced its adoption of Green Growth strategies to grab Green tech initiatives. In addition, KT will likely showcase its fixed-line and wireless bundling services as the merger with its mobile telephony affiliate KTF has been completed.

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, the two leading providers of hand-held devices and digital appliances, will also join the Green IT bandwagon with their eco-friendly products.
In addition, 4 local governments including Guro-gu, Mapo-gu, Geomcheon-gu and Anyang City will once again continue to operate their own pavilions with 15 to 20 companies each. A number of new technologies and initiatives in the industry such as mobile graphic solutions, GIS, binary CDMA, and integrated communications solutions - all which promise to help businesses improve their energy efficiency - will have a presence at the World IT Show.
Running parallel to World IT Show 2009, the Korea Communications Conference 2009 will be held on June 17th and 18th under the theme of Media Convergence and After, to provide the opportunity to analyze the current trends in the media convergence era.
In addition, the State of Georgia and Fairfax county of Virginia will hold seminars and one-on-one business meetings to help Korean businesses understand the US business background and find multiple ways to enter the US market.
The World IT Show 2009 opens from 10am to 5pm, and the general public can attend on June 20th.
