Considering that the G3 is now deemed as having the highest level of perfection among LG smartphones, LG Electronics is expected to make a turnaround in the smartphone business in the second quarter.
LG Electronics’ mobile communications division, which is responsible for the company’s smartphone business, posted a deficit of 8.8 billion won in the first quarter of this year, following a 43.4 billion won loss a quarter ago.
LG Electronics plans to hold G3 presentation events at six major cities of the world, including Seoul, London, and New York on May 27. This will be the first time for LG Electronics to make a presentation of a single smartphone model in a multiple number of cities.
The G3 is known to have a 5.5-inch QHD display and a Qualcomm SnapDragon 805 processor. The QHD panel which has a resolution of 2,540 x 1,440 will be used for the first time among global smartphone makers.
