SEOUL, KOREA - Philips Korea (CEO: Dominique Oh, www.philips.co.kr), the leading company in health and well-being sectors, announced the appointing of Dominique Oh (47), General Manager Healthcare Korea as the new Country Manager Korea on May 1.
Dominique Oh will expand his role as the CEO of Philips Korea in addition to his previous position as theGeneral Manager Healthcare Korea.
Prior to joining Philips Korea as the vice president of the Healthcare sector in September 2013, Dominque Oh achieved successes in various organizations and has been highly acclaimed for his achievements. In particular, despite contractions in overall market size, Philips Korea’s overall market share has increased for two consecutive quarters under Dominique Oh’s leadership.
Dominique Oh, a French citizen, began his career at CNES (French Space Agency) as a research development engineer in 1991 and built up his experience in the sales and business sector followed by prominent positions at distinguished French companies France’s defense electronics system company Thales in 1994 and Thompson Multimedia in 1997. He was in charge of the cell phone marketing and domestic product planning at LG Electronics Mobile Communications sector from 2006 and then held the post of CEO at Apple Korea from 2011 to 2012.

Based on his experience and know-how on B2B and B2C, Dominique Oh is expected to lead Philips to an overall growth in the Korean market by effectively creating cooperation and synergy among the business sectors of Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle.
Kim Tae-young, former CEO of Philips Korea, will transfer to a position focusing on the growth of Philips in the Asian markets including Korea as he was appointed as Advisor Korea and Head of Strategic Partnerships ASEAN Pacific.
