SEOUL, KOREA - Mercedes-Benz added a four-wheel-drive 4Maticmodel into its existing S350 BlueTeclineups as part of an effort to expand the domestic sales of its high-end premium sedan S Class.Mercedes-Benz Korea released S350 BlueTec 4Maticon May 22, aimed at adding more impetus to the sales of the New S Class which was released in late 2013.
In recent days, the sales of high-end four-wheel-drive sedans are showing an upward trend in Korea’s import car market.The addition of the new model comes in tandem with the accelerated sales of the New S Class. Since its launch, the S Class has been sold 2,351 units until last month, gaining an unrivaled popularity among same-class models.
The S350 BlueTec 4Maticis mounted with a six-cylinder 3.0-liter diesel engine which has a maximum output of 258hp and a maximum torque of 63.2kg.m. The S350 BlueTec 4Matichas a combined fuel efficiency of 12.0 kilometers per liter, with its retail price set at 133.5 million won.
