SEOUL, KOREA - Korea’s best-known minivan Carnival has come back as a third-generation model in nine years.Kia Motors presented “All New Carnival” at W Seoul Walkerhill Hotel in Seoulon May 22.
Since it was released as Korea’s first minivan in 1998, the Carnival has been sold 570,000 units in Korea and 890,000 units in overseas markets.The Carnival also made great contributions to normalizing Kia Motors’ finances after the carmaker entered a court receivership after the Asian financial crisis in 1998.
The 3G “All New Carnival” comes in about nine years after the 2G models—Grand Carnival and New Carnival—were released in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
Kia Motors has invested 350 billion won over the past 52 months to develop the All New Carnival.Compared to the previous models, the All New Carnival features great improvements in interior and exterior designs, frame structure and stability, space utilization and convenience specs.
