A second company that stood out from the 40+ at the G-Fair Mumbai event was JM Tech Korea. This company also received notable attention from visitors and businessmen at the event. JM Tech Korea is also one of the Top Five.
In an interview with Lee Gyeong-bok after the event was completed, he said that he also was only expecting to find out if his company's products were marketable in India. The reason that they decided to go was, according to Lee, "We were trying the Indian market and got a positive answer about our sample from an Indian customer. At around the same time we received a mail from the GSBC with the info about G-Fair Mumbai."
Aluminum Everything
JM Tech Korea is a very Green business. They are beyond an environmentally-friendly company, because they process and create something new out of recyclable materials. More specifically, they produce aluminum granules from aluminum trash. The company also utilizes byproducts from industrial manufacturing, transforming these recyclable resources into high value-added materials. They have been doing this since 2001. In 2004 they were recognized as a clean business site, and in 2006 they received the INNO-BIZ designation from the Korean government.
There were many distributors who asked JM Tech Korea for quotes about their products, aluminum granules and powders. Aluminum granules are very useful in the production of exothermic fuel, and can be used as a deoxidizer. Aluminum powder has even more uses in the manufacture of abrasives, automobile parts, and brake linings. It can also be used to make colored fireworks, diamond tools, epoxy and vinyl adhesives. It even has military applications in solid rocket fuels, ordnance, foundry fluxes, and slurry explosives. The applications of aluminum are almost endless.
There was one concern for JM Tech Korea, however. When asked about his opinion of the Indian market, Lee Gyeong-bok said, "For our products, it is up to price. We are still wondering what price can persuade them into our products, because our current price may be on the verge of turning customers away from Indian local products."
JM Tech is proof of the sustainability of a green economy. Aluminum recycling generally produces great cost savings over the production of new aluminum, even if one has to pay for collection, separation, and recycling. And the economy as a whole benefits when aluminum is recycled rather than put into landfills. Additionally, there are large costs associated with aluminum mines and the transportation of raw aluminum.
This great, economically viable and environmentally-friendly outlook is what makes JM Tech stand out above the rest, and what made it so popular at the G-Fair Mumbai. And that is also why it is one of the Top Five.
