
Kumkang Mall sold about 150,000 pairs of shoes in the January-June period of this year, up 36 percent from 110,000 a year ago. Lesmore’s online mall also enjoyed a 44-percent growth to about 60,000 pairs of shoes during the same period.
The annual sales growth of these online shopping malls is estimated at 38 percent and 42 percent, respectively, over the past three years.
A Kumkang official said, “Based on our analysis of online consumers’ shoe purchasing patterns, we released a variety of online-exclusive models at reasonable prices.”
To boost the sales of its online malls further, Kumkang plans to stage aggressive marketing efforts. To ensure comfortable shopping for mobile users, Kumkang plans to improve the interface of its online malls, as well as to introduce a fast and easy payment system.
