I would like to congratulate Korea IT Times on its fifth anniversary. As the only English magazine specialized in IT industry in Korea, the Korea IT Times has been contributing in its own right to the growth of the IT industry by spreading a lot of valuable IT information worldwide and writing in-depth reports on the domestic market.
Under the motto “An Advanced City Open to the World,” Busan has been striving hard to achieve important objectives such as promotion of a competitive regional economy, establishment of a happy and comfortable city, formation of a world-class city infrastructure and achievement of citizen satisfaction with its municipal government.
Since 2005, Busan has been promoting a u-City project that is focused on improving the structures of local industries, boosting the local economy and enhancing the quality of life for Busan citizens by integrating the latest next-generation u-technology into the city’s major infrastructure such as ports, transportation, tourism and conventions. Also it is focused on promoting Busan’s status in the international community and strengthening national competitiveness by creating the world’s first-ever u-City.
I hope for Korea IT Times’ readers to regard Busan as a global city, and we are always pinning high hopes on the success of Korea IT industry.
I would like to congratulate the Korea IT Times on its 5th anniversary once again and hope the monthly magazine will gain prominence as a world leading IT magazine that distributes the knowledge of information technology to readers around the globe.
Hur Nam-sik,
Mayor of Busan Meropolitan City
