Prof. Lee Myung-chul, president-elect of World Council of Isotopes and Advisory Committee Member of World Nuclear University

I am very pleased to congratulate the fifth anniversary of the Korea IT Times. During the last five years, the Korea IT Times has grown to become one of the most essential gateways not only to up-to-date IT technologies but also to other high-techs such as nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, convergence technologies, and others. It has contributed to the development of Korea’s high-tech industries in doing so. In the midst of recent global economic turmoil, the Korea IT Times has being offering new visions for Korea to overcome the difficulties.

As the President-Elect of World Council on Isotopes and Advisory Committee Member of World Nuclear University, I appreciate the contribution of the Korea IT Times to the development of the fields of nuclear energy science and technology including Nuclear Medicine Field. On behalf of the Director General of Bio-MAX Institute, Seoul National University, which has been founded for the multidisciplinary research related to biotechnologies 6 years ago, and the Project Director of International BIT Port Project, a joint project between Seoul National University and KAIST, building a R&D complex for BT and IT convergence technologies in Incheon Free Economic Zone Cheongna District, I could not thank it enough for enabling us to keep our eyes on the latest global R&D trends. As the President of Korea Bio-Economy Forum, a civilian agency for boosting the development of biotechnology industries in Korea, I am expecting the Korea IT Times’ role for the propagation of suggestions of opinion leaders in biotechnology fields. All of these roles of the Korea IT Times will be great stepping stones for the growth of high-tech industries and for the development of Korea. I would once again like to wish the Korea IT Times a great success on the fifth anniversary and hope it will continue to keep us informed in a timely and credible manner.
