SEOUL, KOREA - SPC Group announced that Paris Baguette made entry into France, the homeland of the baguette.SPC chairman Huh Young-In has dreamed of launching into Paris, France, ever since he opened his first bakery and named the bakery shop as Paris Baguette in 1988.

 

Huh’s dream was realized as SPC opened a Paris Baguette outlet in the neighborhood of Chatelet Metro Station in the center of Paris.The group announced on July 23 that the Chatelet outlet is its first store in Europe. With a floor space of 200 square meters, the Chatelet outlet is a café-type location with 46 seats.

Huh said, “Paris Baguette has thus far played the role of introducing French bakery culture into Korea. With the opening of the Chatelet store, Paris Baguette will also serve to introduce Korea’s unique bakery culture in the world.”

The Chatelet outlet will be run not as a public bakery shop but as a premium bakery shop under the “artisan boulangerie” concept.
