The Hot Products of July will shine on show windows with a new certification mark. The Ministry of Knowledge Economy announced that 13 ministries has finally reached an agreement to use one certification mark in product verification. The new Equus Hyundai automobile, Samsung PAVV LED TV, and Dios refridgerators, therefore, are expected to meet their consumers with the new Korea Certification (KC) mark. "As for me, different types of certification marks on different products have only increased confusion and doubts of domestic products. I am so glad to know that all I have to remember checking now is KC mark on the products," said Mrs. Kwon (54) at the New Korea Certification Mark Campaign on June 30.
KC Mark from the Ministry of Knowledge Economy approves the high quality of the products' safety, energy consumption level, and gauge. An excellence of automobiles, electronic wares, elevators, lights, scales, and 736 daily living products will now be verified by the government with the unified KC Mark. This is expected to reduce 66 percent of the certification charge and 27 percent of the average wating time. The IT devices, water, and fire fighting supplies are scheduled to be verified with KC Marks from 2011.
