SEOUL, KOREA - A mobile game company Com2uS achieved record-high quarterly results thanks to the global popularity of its new games.
Com2uS announced on August 6 that it posted sales of 43 billion won and operating profit of 17.3 billion won for the second quarter of this year, up 112 percent and 754 percent, respectively, from a year ago. Net profit jumped 331 percent year on year to 14 billion won.
The company attributed the strong results to the outstanding performance of its new games, including “The God of Fishing” and “Summoners War” which gained popularity worldwide.
Its existing games, including “Golf Star” and “Tiny Farm” also achieved stable sales, contributing to the record-breaking quarterly results.
Com2uS is showing signs of being transformed into a global company with the share of overseas sales in overall sales rising at a rapid pace. For the second quarter of this year, its overseas sales amounted to 29.1 billion won, up 313 percent from a year ago, accounting for 68 percent in its total sales.
