It is my honor to congratulate the Korea IT Times on the fifth year of its publication. The magazine is one of the leading IT-based magazines about Korea in the English language. This is quite helpful to us as the government agency in charge of the country’s industrial, trade and energy policies. Since the Ministry of Knowledge Economy is promoting the country's industries, and the IT industry in particular, it is good to have a media outlet that is dedicated to the IT industry.
The MKE also seeks to increase trade, save energy, and develop new renewable energies. With a clear mandate to take more action on climate change, the Ministry works out and implements policies under the government’s Low Carbon, Green Growth policy.
The ministry’s implementation of Green IT policies has been made easier by cooperating with IT industry leaders and market players alike. In this process, media outlets like the Korea IT Times have a big role to play. What the monthly magazine has done over the past years shows us what more it could do in the decades to come.
With the IT industry continuing to lead the country's efforts to develop growth engines, we hope that the Korea IT Times can continue to serve as an opinion leader in IT journalism. I hope the Korea IT Times will be as prosperous as ever in the years to come.
