SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors unveiled the price of Soul electric vehicle which it will start selling in the United States from next month.The Soul EV which will be produced in its entirety at Kia Motors’Gwangju plant, is the automaker’s first pure EV to be released in the U.S.market.

Kia Motors America announced on September 11 that it set the sales price of Soul EV at $33,700 for the U.S.market.
This price excludes the government’s subsidy of $7,500 and the delivery fee of $875. If including them,the consumer price of a Soul EV will be estimated at around $27,000.This is about $5,000 higher than the price of its rival model Leaf from Nissan.
With a single charging, the Soul EV can drive up to 93 miles (149 kilometers), longer than Leaf’s 83 miles.The Soul EV is expected to compete with Chevrolet Volt, BMW i3 and Spark EV in the U.S.
