SEOUL, KOREA - A Chinese smartphone maker Huawei will start selling its smartphones in Korea from next week. Huawei will sell its smartphones through Medialog, a subsidiary of LG U+.Huawei will be the first Chinese smartphone maker to sell its products in Korea.

The smartphone Huawei will sell here is an upgraded version of Honor 6 (Model name: HW-H60-J1). The upgraded version will be added with a string of new features, including broadband LTE-A and VoLTE (Voice over LTE).
The Huawei smartphone will be available at the price ranging between 400,000 won and 500,000 won.To debut its Honor 6 smartphone in Korea, Huawei received the electromagnetic wave certification from the National Radio Research Agency on September 11.
Chinese smartphones are enjoying rising popularity in the global markets. The mid- and low-priced smartphone market, once dominated by Samsung Electronics, is eaten into by Chinese suppliers.
