SEOUL, KOREA - A global mobile messenger Line plans to create a life platform that covers both online and offline areas.Line, launched in Japan by Naver, announced on October 9 that it will expand its service coverage toward electronic payments, delivery and call taxi services.
Line held the Line Conference Tokyo 2014 where it announced a plan to launch an electronic payment service Line Pay, a call taxi service using app Line Taxi, and an app-based food delivery service LineWow within this winter gradually.
Line Pay which is connected with a credit card is an electronic payment service using Line app which will be available for Line-related services and stores.Line Taxi will be offered through cooperation with a local taxi company. By using Line app or Line Taxi-dedicated account, users can call taxi anytime and anywhere in Japan.
