SEOUL, KOREA - China's Anbang Insurance Group is knocking on the door of Woori Bank to take over its controlling shares. As can be clear from last week's announcement that Anbang signed an agreement to purchase the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, the deep-pocketed Chinese insurer will be the likely winner in the bidding for the state-owned bank.
