SEOUL, KOREA - Gamevil announced on October 14 that it hasestablished a local subsidiary “GamevilSoutheast Asia PTE Ltd.” in Singapore as partof an effortto make bigger forays into Southeast Asia’s mobile game market.
GamevilSoutheast Asia, led by JoergTente whohas been engaged in the publishingbusiness for more than ten years in the Southeast Asian market, will consist ofabout 20 talents from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The local subsidiarywill be engaged in the localizationof Gamevilgames,plus the effective management of customer community and customer service,which would lead to an improvement in service quality there.
Gamevilset up a local subsidiary in the United States in 2006, firstamong Korea’s mobile game companies, followed by the establishment ofadditional local subsidiaries in China and Japan.
According to mobile appstatistics analysis firm App Annie, Gamevilranked No. 10 and No. 8 in the globalgame revenue rankings on Google and Apple app stores.
