SEOUl, KOREA - Samsung Electronicssucceeded in demonstrating 5G telecommunications technology that incessantlytransmits 150MB per second, inside a vehicle that runs at the speed of morethan 100 kilometers per second.
In a standstillcondition, Samsung also succeeded in realizing a transmission speed that isabout 30 times faster than the current 4G LTE network.
Samsung Electronic sannounced on October 15 that it succeeded in realizing a 1.2-Gbps datatransmission speed in a high-speed driving condition.The 1.2-Gbps datatransmission speed refers to the speed of transmitting 150-MB data per second.
This was the first timein the world to demonstrate Gbps-level 5G telecommunications technology not inlaboratory but in field.
Even in a standstillcondition, Samsung also increased the transmission speed of 5G telecommunications technology up to 7.5Gbps (940-MB transmission per second).This is about 30 times faster than 4G LTE commercial network.
