The 86th story of a full-length business novel.

Already they have set up booby traps as if the peninsula had been an open field. In the process of execution, they have easily got two big fish, Daewoo and Samsung, and other small fish, Ssangyong. To their eyes, the Koreans were gummers.

Now, there is the only one left in Korea. The one is, as already mentioned before, the very one, Hyundai Dynasty. So far, the peninsula and his people have been his cornerstones. However, the home ground and the people are not the same as before. Already all the world powers had noticed it all in depth and in detail.

Then they decided to grip Korea in their hands before the turn of the 21st century as if Korea had been a moreish decoy like a gazelle or deer. From then on, they began to spy on the Korean situation. At the first phase, on-site inspections and other preliminary military preparations were made meticulously. All the actions were linked with how to take Korea and how to capture her capital Seoul in the future campaign. Looking forward to the lucrative business in Korea in the coming days, they have recanted their plan over and over again. Finally, they called to the colors. Then they said to their men about the Korean complainingly as below:

“Up to the present, I have tested his mind. Then I have tolerated his resistance. And I’ve waited for his surrender before me like Samsung, Daewoo or Ssangyong. However, with no reason he has not surrendered. And he resisted me as if he had been a cat with nine lives. To my eyes, it seems that he doesn’t care a farthing about my formidable military power.”

Then they revealed their hidden mind that:

“From now on I cannot overlook his arrogance any longer. Already the new millennium has come. With the new time spirit, my decision cannot be deferred. Already, the grand plan has been fixed up. It cannot be delayed any longer. Now is the time to show our card to him by force.”

Then they decided to launch the Korean campaign on a large scale. They were no other than so-called or would-be world powers such as French Peugeot & Renault, American gunfighters such as GM, Ford, the Japanese Big Three named Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Swedish VVV (Volvo), Italian Final Art, FIAT, Indian Tata with his vanguards Land Rover & Jaguar, the German Big Three such as BMW, VW (Volks Wagon), Benz and so on. Shortly after their decision of the Korean campaign, they stowed newly-upgraded monstrous chariots, well-trained crack troops and artillery units in their fleets. Then they crossed the Yellow Sea with a soldier’s wind. Of course, their loyal vanguards followed. Mustang (yu) and Lincoln (ui) of Ford, Corvette (op) and Cadillac (pq) of GM, Camry and

Lexus (hj) of Toyota, Accord and Acura of Honda, Murano, Rogue and Infiniti (iu) of Nissan, Porsche, Lamborghini, MAN, Audi, Scania, Golf & Skoda (tre) under the command of VW, and other second-rate generals joined the campaign on behalf of their bosses.

In this relation, there are unidentified but a little bit reliable accounts for the campaign even if those sound to be a groundless rumor. Believe it or not, the rumor says that the world powers have tried to get the Korean peninsula in their hands from long ago. Thus, they have made a deep study on Korea by gathering the common people’s tattles. In fact, some people would say about Korea as below:

“Reputedly, Korea has been called Solongus in Mongolian language. It means the Land of Rainbow. However, we do not know why the land is called Solongus. Either way, in light of the fine name, Korea must be a treasure land full of jewels and other invaluable things.”

Hearing the people’s saying they came to be interested in the identity of the Korean peninsula. Then they began to make a deep study on it through using some books that were written by special historians. In the books, the historians explained its merit directly as below:

“Geographically, Korea is a peninsula. So, it is a vaulting pole so as to enter the main Asian continent, China and Russia. Already the huge lands have been thriving businesses for the world powers.”

Then the pedantic scholars compared the Korean peninsula with Hong Kong and/or Macao in China that:

“In this point, the peninsula looks like Hong Kong (香港) or Macao. So far, Hong Kong and/or Macao have been the royal roads to enter China. Correct, the facts were and are the reason the English or the Portuguese have occupied the cities as stepping stones.”  (Below are stepping stones. Source: lookhomedesign.com)

Then they added another merit as below:

“However, Korea, unlike the cities, has not been owned by anyone else. In addition, in another sight, Korea may be much easier to reach out the Asian continent by land than Hong Kong or Macao. From all this kind of view, Korea might be a lucrative business like a treasure land enough to be called ‘Solongus,’ meaning the ‘Land of Rainbow.’”

In this way, they explained in the books why Korea has been called Solongus. Then they continued saying about the current situation in the peninsula as below:

“Of course, there is a powerful Korean. His name is Hyundai Dynasty. (mn) So far, he has displayed his strength pretentiously and a little bit flashes of wit in his home ground, Korea. Except him, nobody has a vested right upon the Korean peninsula. In other words, the situation may be changed if somebody gets rid of him and get it from his hands. Then Korea will be an ownerless land. And then, there will be no obstacle in Korea even if anybody tries to preempt it. In this point, Korea will be profitable in business.”
