SEOUL, KOREA -Korea Electronics Association selected ‘2014 best software 20 ‘ of Korean companies for Korea Electronics Show(KES) 2014 and invited them to display their software program on S/W special exhibition hall.
From multimedia security laboratory on Korea University, image enhancement tools are presented for forensic investigations.
Consider a picture taken in a poor lighting condition, important details may be hard to recognize and let alone not know the existence of such details. The proposed software takes low contrast images and improves their quality.
The software improves upon the current state of the art face recognition. As a result, the recognition rate of the original image has improved, and the performance is invariant under different lighting conditions, rotations and facial expressions.
