
Aljabr, who has been leading Kia Motors’ general agency in Saudi Arabia, noted, “Saudi Arabia’s automobile market has remained stagnant for several years, with its annual size estimated at around 780,000 units. Despite the stagnant trend of the overall market, Kia Motors has grown every year at a healthy pace.”
He predicted that the annual sales of Kia Motors in Saudi Arabia, which stood at 43,000 units last year, would exceed the 60,000 level this year.
Among Kia models, he picked K3 (local name isCerato), Pride (Rio) and K5 (Optima) as popular models in Saudi Arabia. The three models account for more than 80 percent of Kia’s sales in Saudi Arabia.
