SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors held a launching event for its new brand “The New K9” at the Banyan Tree Hotel in downtown Seoulon November 17.The New K9 is a facelift model which is added with a new trim being mounted with a V8 Tau 5.0-liter GDI engine.
The trim mounted with the V8 Tau 5.0 DGI engine is named as “K9 Quantum.” The K9 Quantum’s engine features a maximum output of 425 horsepower and a maximum torque of 52.0k.gm.
To differentiate the new trim from other models, Kia Motors attached the V8 5.0 logo onto the radiator grille.To strengthen the feel of elegance, Kia Motors adopted a chrome mesh (diamond type) front radiator grill for The New K9.
The New K9 consists of several varieties, including 3.3 Prestige, 3.3 Executive, 3.8 Executive, 3.8 Noblesse, VIP, and K9 Quantum. The retail price is set at 49.9 million won for 3.3 Prestige, 53.3 million won for 3.3 Executive, 56.8 million won for 3.8 Executive, 62.3 million won for 3.8 Noblesse, 72.6 million won for VIP, and 86.2 million won for K9 Quantum.
