OTTAWA, CANADA - The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and Canada 2020 will host “Canada and the Global Digital Future,” a dinner, award ceremony and panel discussion, in Ottawa, Canada.

“Canada and the Global Digital Future,” taking place on the occasion of the meeting of the Global Commission on Internet Governance in Ottawa, will feature a panel discussion with commission Chair Carl Bildt, Commissioners Melissa Hathaway, Sir David Omand, and Latha Reddy, as well as Evan Solomon, host of the CBC’s Power & Politics, as the moderator.
The event will also feature the Hon. John Baird, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs presenting a special award to the Commission’s chair and former prime minister and foreign affairs minister of Sweden, Carl Bildt.
The Global Commission on Internet Governance is a two-year initiative launched in January 2014 by CIGI and Chatham House, and will produce a comprehensive stand on the future of multi-stakeholder Internet governance. It is holding its only meeting in Canada, from November 24-25.
