The 7th Incheon IT Technology Awards 2009 will be held at Song-do Convensia, Incheon City, Korea on Aug. 26, 11 AM with opening ceremony of the 8th ITC 2009. The 7th Incheon IT Technology Awards established in 2003 for the purpose of supporting and bringing up the prospect companies in Incheon Metropolitan City. The Organizing Committee of Incheon Metropolitan city has chosen the Incheon’s top five companies in the field of IT by examining them strictly. All the products and technologies developed by the top five awarded companies will be exhibited in the exhibitions such as digital appliances hall, digital contents hall, IT fusion hall, new technology hall and telecommunications and networks hall during the event.
The grand prize in the field of IT will be given to Multi Layer Display, a real 3D impact monitor developed by Kortek Corporation, the gold prize in the field of IT will be given to both PA-GSM/WiMAX Inter-Modulation Distortion (PIMD) Analyzer developed by AWT Co., Ltd and Integration Automatic Meter Reading system developed by LEO TECH Co., Ltd, the grand prize in the field of BI, Mayor’s prize of the Incheon Metropolitan city, will be given to Marvel Shop, a innovation 3D steel automatic program developed by JMD Engineering and the gold prize in the field of BI will be given to DSRC ASIC MCU, a semiconductor chip for Highway toll card Data Terminal Equipment developed by Hyundai Digitech ITS.
The Kortek Corporation, a grand prize winner of IT field, achieved over US $ 100,000,000 of total export amounts in 2008 and it is expected that it will be able to achieve over US $ 120,000,000 in 2009. The AWT Co., Ltd, a gold prize winner of IT field, made an US $ 6,000,000 amount of contract to Boonton Electronics in US. The Hyundai Digitech ITS, a gold prize winner of BI field, made positive activations of exports for Chinese Highway toll card markets by providing a standard semiconductor chip and it is expected that they will be able to visualize actual exports to Chinese market on the fourth quarter of 2009.
The Organizing Committee of ITC 2009 expect that the event will play a important role in further developing the IT Industries by facilitating exports of technologies and products. With the upcoming event as momentum, the Organizing Committee plans to support five awarded companies to activate and promote the export business to global market.
