Samsung SDI joined hands with Sharp to make entry into the UK's household energy management system market.
According to industry sources on January 20, Samsung SDI's energy storage system (ESS) is mounted on Sharp's household energy management solutions which are released in the UK market.
The ESS for power supply is a device that contributes to enhancing power efficiency and stabilizing power transmission and distribution. It is installed mainly at power plants, power grids, and new renewable energy power facilities, including solar and wind power facilities.
The newly-released household energy management system is designed to store solar power during daytime, which can be used at a time when the consumerwants. Following its acquisition of quality certification for household ESS from Germany's VDE, Samsung SDI recently won a string of massive ESS orders from Germany and Italy.
