
Samsung Electronics is set to unveil its strategic smartphone Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 which is scheduled to open on March 2 in Barcelona, Spain.ASamsung official said, “We confirmed the schedule to show off the Galaxy S6 at the upcoming MWC.”
The unpack event will likely to be held on the MWC’s opening day or one day before it. A year ago, Samsung had revealed its Galaxy S5 at the MWC 2014, with its mobile leader Shin Jong-Kyun, president of IT and mobile division, taking on the stage.
This will be the third time for Samsung to show off its latest smartphone model at the MWC, following the Galaxy S2 in February 2011 and the Galaxy S5 last year.
In the meantime, LG Electronics decided not to exhibit its latest smartphone G4. Instead, it will showcase a variety of new wearables and Internet of Things devices and technologies during the MWC 2015.
