
Samsung Electronics, which is beset by competition from Apple and Xiaomi, is set to reveal its next big thing – Galaxy S6 which will have a differentiated look from existing Galaxy smartphones.
Galaxy S6 will have a built-in battery with its frame being made of metal and reinforced glass instead of plastics.
In addition to Galaxy S6, Samsung Electronics also plans to show off Galaxy S6 Edge which has a dual edge design.
Samsung Electronics decided to unveil Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain on March 1.
Inside Samsung, Galaxy S6 is called as “project zero,” indicating its strong will to develop a whole new product that is different from existing Galaxy series models.
Galaxy S6 will feature industry-leading specs, including a 20 million pixel rear camera and an Exynos AP. Instead of using Qualcomm Snapdragon, Samsung decided to use its own Exynos as a brain of Galaxy S6.
