MONACO – February 5, 2015 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., is showcasing its vision for smarter living at the Samsung EU Forum 2015 in Monaco. Reinforcing its leadership of the European TV market, Samsung is taking picture quality to the next level with its 88-inch SUHD TV. The company is also launching new audio solutions in Europe that deliver a premium sound experience, and clever home appliances inspired by professional chefs to give home cooks a better experience in the kitchen.

Samsung also continues to make its mark in the camera market with the new NX500 camera, inspired by the performance and features of Samsung’s award-winning NX1 series. In addition, Samsung demonstrated its new range of sleek Galaxy A smartphones, which offer ways of capturing and sharing digital experiences.

SUHD TV Takes Picture Quality to New Heights

Samsung is showcasing the 88-inch JS9500 TV, powered by a proprietary, eco-friendly nano-crystal display technology and intelligent SUHD capabilities The SUHD TV is innovative in every way, delivering superior picture quality with stunning contrast, striking brightness, spectacular color and superb UHD detail. The SUHD re-mastering engine automatically analyzes the brightness of images to minimize additional power consumption while expressing stunning contrast levels – producing images with improved contrast, elevated brightness two-and-a-half times brighter than conventional TVs and twice the color adjustment points.

SUHD TV’s nano-crystal transmits different colors of light depending on their size to produce the highest color purity and light efficiency available today. This technology provides viewers with 64 times more color expression than conventional TVs.

Collaborating with 20th Century Fox, Samsung is optimizing content to deliver premium quality of SUHD and give consumers an unrivaled viewing experience. Most recently, Samsung partnered with the Fox Innovation Lab to re-master the critically acclaimed film, Life of Pi specifically for SUHD TV and deliver images with more vivid and lifelike colors than ever before.

From 2015, all new Samsung Smart TVs will be powered by the Tizen operating system, which not only provides better connectivity, but also gives developers a more robust and easier platform to create applications. . Most importantly, it ensures that consumers will have access to a much broader range of Smart TV content and services.

Samsung will offer three new series of SUHD TVs ¾ JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 ¾ from 48- to 88-inches, so consumers have the flexibility to purchase the perfect TV that fits their style and taste.

New Premium Audio line-up

Samsung is bringing innovative audio products to Europe that give consumers a more dynamic, surround-sound audio experience. Developed by Samsung’s new state-of-the-art audio lab in California, the WAM7500/6500 deliver a 360-degree sound experience thanks to Samsung’s proprietary ring radiator technology. This enables true omni-directional sound both horizontally and vertically. The WAM7500/6500 fills the room with a truly balanced sound.

Samsung also introduces its new Curved Soundbar 8500 series, which complements Samsung Curved TVs from 48 inches to 78 inches. This premium audio solution offers 9.1 channel audio for a truly immersive experience. The Curved Soundbar is connected wirelessly to the TV and can be used to stream music through Samsung’s multiroom functionality.

Instantly share superior images with the Samsung NX500

The new NX500 camera is the perfect camera for everyday use, with its best-in-class DRIMeV Image processor, a NX AF system III and Samsung’s highest-resolution 28 MP BSI APS-C sensors. Compared to conventional CMOS sensors, BSI reduces noise more effectively by keeping the path between the lens and sensors clear so more light can hit each pixel, lowering the signal-to-noise ratio. As a result, NX500 users never need to compromise image quality, even in low light. Also, with 4K and UHD video recording, users will enjoy recording movies with more flexibility.

Putting core performance and functionality of the NX1 into a highly portable format, this new compact camera makes sure that a moment is never missed. The palm-sized NX500 offers updated connectivity such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, providing users with an advanced wireless experience, as well as the option to seamlessly shoot and share their captured experiences.

Samsung Expands Galaxy A devices of Ultra-slim Smartphones in Europe

Samsung has expanded its line-up of Galaxy A in the European market. Optimized for capturing and sharing your digital life, the Galaxy A7, A5 and A3 come with a 5MP front facing camera to ensure the perfect selfie, and offer original features like an animated GIF setting. The device also supports LTE category 4 for quick and easy photo and video uploads on any social network.

With a slimmest metal unibody design, Samsung continues to focus on creating unique style with comfortable grip for ease of use.

Printer Solutions Bring Speed and Convergence to Business

Samsung’s new MX7’s Quad core CPU (+DSDF) multi-function printer (MFP) increases efficiency and reduces wait times. The MX7 takes only 18 seconds to boot and a mere 12 seconds to wake up from sleep. It also offers great image quality with 1200 dpi printing, while running at full speed and takes just three seconds to print the first page on a monochrome document and 4.5 seconds for color prints.

The MX7 is also capable of a significant reduction in scan time with an industry-leading scan speed of up to 120 single-sided images per minute, and up to 240 double-sided images. It also supports faster in-office connections with an 802.11ac-capable network chip. The MX7 boasts Bluetooth Low Energy, giving users “always-on” connectivity, so they can connect and print with ease as soon as they are in close proximity to the device.

An intuitive user interface, powered by a 10.1 inch Android display, makes it easy not just to control the printer, but also to preview and even edit documents on the spot.
