LG Electronics announced on February 15 that its ultra-light laptop computer Gram 14 was sold more than 10,000 units in the domestic market in just one month after being launched.
The Gram 14, which LG Electronics released on January 14, has a weight of 980 grams, the lightest among 14-inch laptops selling in Korea.
As for key factors behind the popularity of the Gram 14, LG Electronics pointed out its light weight of 980 grams despite having a 14-inch screen, a 13.4-mm ultra-slim design, an Intel 5G microprocessor and a high-performance battery which can run up to 10.5 hours in maximum.
LG Electronics explained that the Gram 14 is selling at the fastest pace among all kinds of notebooks it released.
Even compared to the Gram 13 which was released last year, the Gram 14 is selling more than 20 percent higher than that of the Gram 13. LG Electronics plans to provide a variety of free gifts, including a laptop bag designed by famous designer Rebecca Minkoff, to those who purchase a Gram 14 until March 31.
