SK Planet is making forays into the mobile call taxi business. SK Planet’s mobile call taxi service is expected to compete with Daum Kakao’s Kakao Taxi and Limo Taxi services. The company announced on March 30 that it will release the driver’s application of its mobile call taxi service T-Map Taxi through T Store and Google Play Store.
Any taxi driver in Korea can become a member of the T-Map Taxi driver application. Taxi drivers can use the application after downloading the app into their smartphones and verifying with their taxi driver license.
T-Map Taxi plans to expand its service centering on the members of the brand taxi service Navicall which SK Planet operates. SK Planet recently held an explanatory session to introduce the service to 11,000 taxi drivers in Seoul. SK Planet also plans to hold another session for 3,300 Navicall taxi drivers in Busan.
