Daum Kakao announced on March 31 that it officially launched the Kakao Taxi service. Kakao Taxi is a mobile platform that ensures a quick link between taxi drivers and customers.
To launch this service, Daum Kakao joined hands with a group of taxi associations and federations, including the Seoul Taxi Association.
Once the registration is made by using a Kakao account after downloading the Kakao Taxi customer app, users can call taxi wherever they are throughout the country.
Since the users’ current location is automatically installed as the departure location, all users need to do is input their destination and select the call option.
The users’ call alert is sent to the taxi drivers who have priority in terms of various factors, including the moving distance to the departure location and real-time traffic situation.
