
The retail price of the new Galaxy S6 is set at 858,000 won, lower than that of the Galaxy S5. Samsung Electronics plans to launch its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge 32-GB models at the 800,000-won and 900,000-won level.
On April 1, SK Telecom revealed the price of the Galaxy S6 models through its official smartphone online sales site T World Direct.
The price of the Galaxy S6 is set at 858,000 won for the 32-GB model, and 924,000 won for the 64-GB model, while that of the Galaxy S6 Edge will be sold at 979,000 won for the 32-GB model and 1,056,000 won for the 64-GB model.
The Galaxy S6 will be sold at a price lower than that of the Galaxy S5 which was sold at 866,800 won. Other telecom companies such as KT and LG U+ will likely to apply the same price for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
The nation’s major telecom companies launched pre-order sales of the new models through their websites starting from April 1.
