Along with the Lenovo Ideapad 100, Lenovo announced two other consumer based notebooks – the Lenovo Z51 and Lenovo Z41. The Z41 and Z51 are both tipped to be the ultimate multimedia workstation for music and movie lovers.
The Lenovo Z41 uses a 14-inch display while the Lenovo Z51 uses a 15-inch display asides that both devices share most of the same specs. Starting with the display resolution, both use a 200 nits (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD resolution.
Both laptop are powered by the latest Intel Core M i7 processors with Integrated Intel Graphics (or up to AMD R7-M360 for the Z41 and AMD R9-M375 for the Z51), up to 1TB of storage (just HDD or SSHD – both SSD and HDD), up to 16GB of RAM and two optional 2.5W JBL stereo speakers with Dolby DS 1.0 Home Theater surround.
There is a 1MPp webcam, 4 hours of battery life provided by a 41WHr battery and both run on Windows 8.1 update. Connectivity options on the laptops includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/b/ac, 4-in-1 card reader, 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0 and VGA. The Lenovo Z41 measures 347 x 249 x 24.4 mm in dimensions, weighs 2.1 Kg while the Lenovo Z51 measures 384 x 265 x 24.6mm and weighs 2.3 Kg.
The Lenovo Z51 also comes with an optional Intel Realsense 3D camera with a depth sensor and full 1080p color. The notebook can sense and capture depth like the normal human eye.
Both the Lenovo Z41 and Z51 would be available on sale by June from Lenovo website and retail stores. The base model for both starts at $499; the Intel Z51 with optional Intel RealSense 3D camera, Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB memory starts at $599.
