Samsung Electronics is set to release a premium SUHD TV that is designed by a globally famous industrial designer Yves Behar.
Samsung announced on June 8 that it will release 82S9W, the highest premium model among its SUHD TV lineups, in Korea, first in the world.
The 82S9W SUHD TV was given the CES Innovation Award at the CES 2015 which was held in Las Vegas early this year. Instead of being hung on the wall or standing at the corner of the room, this product can be placed anywhere at home.
With its screen being placed on top of a metal cube, the model gained reputation of upgrading TV design into an art form.
With a 21:9-ratio 82-inch curved screen, the model is applied with the 21:9 automatic upscaling technology, thereby realizing unique color reproduction and offering impressive feeling of immersions.
With a retail price of 25 million won, the 82S9W SUHD TV will be sold at major department stores in Korea starting from June 9.
