LG Electronics announced on June 16 that it received two golden awards and two silver awards in the Excellence in Design 2015 Awards held by an American B2B media Appliance Design.
LG’s side-by-side refrigerator and smart air-conditioner module each were awarded the golden award, while its bottom freezer-style refrigerator and hood-type microwave oven won the silver award, respectively.
Appliance Design highly recognized the LG products’ splendid design and impressive technologies. Founded in 1953, Appliance Design has selected the best of its kind awards in eight industrial categories, including home electronics and medical equipment, on an annual basis.
An LG official said, “We are the only Korean company among the award-winners. The competitiveness of our main products is recognized highly in the United States, the world’s largest home electronics market.”
