Apple is set to launch the sales of Apple Watch in Korea from June 26.
The Apple Watch will face competition with Samsung Electronics’ Samsung Gear S and LG Electronics’ Urbane LTE in the Korean smartwatch market.
Korea’s smartwatch market remains premature and it merits attention if Apple Watch can promote the popularization of smartwatches in Korea. Apple Watch can be ordered through Apple Online Store. One can try and purchase an Appel Watch at Apple’s authorized resellers Frisbee and Willys.
The Apple Watch comes in three different collections—Apple Watch Sports, made of aluminum, Apple Watch, made of stainless steel, and Apple Watch Edition, made of 18K gold.
Each collection is available in two different screen sizes including 1.5 inches and 1.65 inches.
The biggest difference between Apple Watch and Samsung Gear S and LG Urbane is that Apple Watch can be used through connection with smartphone and Bluetooth. Most of its functions can be performed via connection with smartphones.
Samsung Gear S and LG Urbane, however, can perform their functionality without connection with smartphones since they have a built-in 3G LTE mobile communications system.
