LG Electronics plans to release a clamshell-type smartphone LG Gentle through LG U+ on July 29.
The retail price of the LG Gentle is set to range between 200,000 won and 250,000 won. The LG Gentle will be LG Electronics’ third clamshell smartphone following the Wine Smart and Ice Cream Smart.
The new phone model is appointed with physical buttons but enables users to enjoy mobile messenger applications such as KakaoTalk. The phone is enjoying rising popularity particularly among middle-aged and senior people.
The LG Gentle features a grip size and a smooth rounding design, offering comfortable feel of grip to users. It has a wide keypad, making it easier for users to type text messages. It has exclusive buttons for telephone directory, text and camera, allowing users to execute each function more easily.
The Q button allows users to pre-set their frequently used apps. In addition to pressing the physical buttons, users also can operate the phone by touching icons on the liquid crystal screen.
