Lotte Duty Free said on August 18 that it would bring in 50,000 Chinese tourists until October this year by linking its group-wide tourism assets such as Lotte World Adventure and Lotte Hotels.
According to the plan, Lotte will throw late night parties at the theme park with several popular K-Pop stars and hold raffle events to give away luxury sedans.
The duty-free shop will sponsor family concerts in Busan (September this year) and Seoul (October). The 2015 Family Concert on the Beach to be open at the special stage in the Gwangalli Beach between September 4-5 will feature Korean Wave actors and singers such as Kim Soo-hyun, 2PM, and Wonder Girls.
For two-days' events, a total of 12,000 spectators will likely visit the venue. Of these, about a half will consist of foreign visitors specially invited by Lotte Duty Free and major travel agencies.
The family concert originally to be held in November in Seoul will be moved up to October in the gymnastics stadium within the Olympic Park in Seoul's southeast. The venue will be visited by 24,000 Chinese tourists and 12,000 Korean nationals. On the night of September 11 between 10:30 pm and 5 am the next day, Lotte will sponsor a night party at Lotte World Adventure, with 15,000 visitors including 10,000 foreign guests.
