Hyundai Department Store is set to open its 15th store in Pangyo in Gyeonggi Province on August 31. The Pangyo branch of Hyundai Department Store will be the largest department store in the metropolitan area.
The company invested 920 billion won to build the new store which will have a floor space of 237,035 square meters. The new store will have six underground floors and ten above-ground floors.
The Pangyo branch of Hyundai Department Store will target those consumers residing not only in Bundang, Yongin, and Gangnam, but in other southern parts of Gyeonggi Province.
The company expects the Pangyo branch to generate annual sales of up to 300 billion won this year, 800 billion won next year, and 1 trillion won in 2020. The Pangyo branch will have four parking floors and an advantageous location which is only a 20-minute drive away from the Gangnam area.
