Hyundai Motor held an official launching ceremony for its brand-new Avante at its Namyang Research Center in Gyeonggi Province on September 9.
The 6G Avante features an improvement in five basic performances, including highly elegant and dynamic exterior design/ergonomic interior design, power performance, stability/driving comfort/handling (R&H), NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) and durability.
The cutting-edge model is 4.57 meters long (2 centimeters longer than the previous model), 1.80 meters wide (2.5 cm wider) and 1.44 meters high (0.5 cm higher), with its wheel bases estimated at 2.70 meters, the highest among same-sized models.
With a large hexagonal front grille, the 6G Avante has a sleek side design and a horizontal and voluminous rear design. The 6G Avante comes in four different models—Diesel U2 1.6-liter VGT, gasoline 1.6-liter GDi, gasoline Nou 2.0-liter MPi, and LPG Gamma 1.6-liter LPi.
When it comes to the diesel 1.6-liter model, it is mounted with a seven-speed DCT and an ISG system, fully satisfying the Euro 6 standard. It has a maximum output of 136 horsepower and a maximum torque of 30.6 kg.m. These figures represent an improvement of 6.3 percent and 7.4 percent, respectively, compared to those of the previous model.
