Hyundai Mobis, South Korea's largest auto parts maker, has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World for the 5th straight year, which means the automotive parts supplier is listed among the top 10 percent of the world’s most sustainable companies.
The DJSI, launched by financial information provider Dow Jones and Switzerland investment firm Robeco SAM, evaluates the sustainability performance of the largest 2,500 global companies by market cap, measuring their economic, social and environmental impacts.
By region, the top 10% of the largest 2,500 global companies are classified into the DJSI World, the top 20 percent of companies in the Asia-Pacific region into the DJSI Asia Pacific; and the top 30 percent of Korean businesses into the DJSI Korea.
Hyundai Mobis debuted on the DJSI Asia Pacific in 2010 and earned a spot on the DJSI World the following year. Since then it has been listed on the DJSI World for five years in a row. Hyundai Mobis is the only Korean auto parts manufacturer and one of the 21 Korean companies to make it into the DJSI World.
