The Kia Sportage, an affordably priced urban friendly SUV, has ranked 4th on a list of the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show’s top 20 supercars.
The latest issue of Auto Bild, a leading German automobile magazine, released a list of the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show’s top 20 cars based on its analyses of designs and performance.
According to Kia, the Sportage scored, on average, 85, with 90 points in the aesthetic category (design and innovativeness) and 80 points in the technical category (power train performance, the interior and chassis).
Its score was the fourth highest after three global luxury car brands: the Porche Mission E (100 points), the Jaguar F-PACE (95 points) and the BMW 7 Series (90 points).
The new VW Tiguan, which made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, finished 6th with a score of 80 points. As the Kia Sportage beat the new VW Tiguan, the Sportage is expected to catch on once it hit the European market in January 2016.
Auto Bild also ran an article titled “Der ärgert den Tiguan,” which means ‘cars that vex the Tiguan.’ The article underlined that the Sportage did receive better reviews than the Tiguan.
