
CJ Cheil Jedang’s premium ginseng/red ginseng drink “Hanppuri” has reached 400 billion won in cumulative sales and broke the 100 million mark in cumulative sales volume.
Hanppuri, which has led the popularization of ginseng/red ginseng drinks by carving out new market niches, has continued to be loved by consumers for more than a decade.
CJ Cheil Jedang, the food and beverage arm of CJ Group, launched Hanppuri, a concoction of milk and ginseng/ red ginseng power, opening a new beverage category of ginseng/red ginseng dairy products. As a result, consumers can now buy such pick-me-up drinks at reasonable prices that would otherwise be an expensive indulgence.
Unlike other general ginseng/red ginseng drinks, made by diluting concentrate with water, Hanppuri contains a whole ginseng root that is ground to preserve the nutrients 100 percent without any loss.
