LG Chem unveiled its wire battery for wristband on Tuesday. This battery was designed by applying a wire-type battery the company developed for the first time in the world in 2013.
While the current flexible battery available on the market stops short of 30R, the radius of curvature of a human wrist, this new battery can realize 15R to be completely foldable. The lower the R is, the more bendable the smartwatch can be.
LG Chem said when it is applied to smartwatch, the use of the device can be extended up to two hours and a watch can also be designed in a more diverse way.
