
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and KEPCO E&C are jointly poised to develop dismantling technology for nuclear power plants.
KEPCO E&C has been running an organization, which develops the technology since 2000, leading the local dismantling engineering area.
In July, it signed a technology transfer deal with German energy firm E.ON Technology, which has experiences of dismantling nuclear power plants. Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, specializing in producing some equipment for power plant, is currently developing dismantling technologies for Kori Nuclear Power Plant set to be dismantled soon.
In September, Doosan signed a partnership deal with German company Siempelkamp, which specializes in dismantling nuclear power plant, in September.
