On November 11, Poland’s Economy Minister Janusz Piechocinski conferred the Polish Quality Award on Mando Corporation Poland (MCP) -- a European subsidiary of the Mando Corporation, one of the largest auto parts manufacturers in South Korea.
The Polish Quality Award is a highly coveted quality award handed out by the Polish government to recognize businesses with excellent and sustainable results across all areas of the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence Model (a set of ideas and rules about good management practices that are designed to help companies make better products, offer better services, and be more competitive).
Upon receiving the Polish Quality Award, Mando Corporation Poland has been automatically nominated for the 2016 European 5 Star Award. Hence winning the award serves as a great opportunity for Mando to raise its brand awareness and gain a firm foothold in the EU.
In 2014, Mando won the Best Employer of the Year award, the Best HR Quality Certificate and the Reputable Business Award from the Polish government. In 2005, Mando received the Best Workplace Certificate from the polish government.
Mando Corporation Poland’s 32,000-square-meter production plant, situated on a 132,000 square meter site, started the mass production of auto components at the end of 2012. It is capable of churning out 1.2 million caliper brakes, 700,000 suspension units and 250,000 steering systems a year.
Mando Corporation Poland has been manufacturing high-quality parts for the Hyundai Tucson, the Kia Sportage, the BMW 3 Series, the Fiat Jeep, the VW Golf, the Volve, etc. As a result, Mando won the 2014 Metallic Supplier of the Year Award and the 2015 Quality Award from Italian automaker Fiat.
