The Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) invite companies to the 2009 Design Consulting Project to establish design management and raise competitiveness. This project is planned to support companies to do design consulting and design development.
The project consists of two steps, design consulting and design development. It supports design consulting about products, visual images, packing, environment and textile fashions. Smaller companies and mid-sized enterprises which need help with design consulting would be eligible for this support project.
Companies can receive design consulting for four months. The program is designed to aggressively emphasize design solutions to help companies create new values about good design. Companies can receive 50 million won in subsidies and get support of up to 75% of the total cost.
Companies can also get help with design development for three months together with design consulting. Companies can get product design mock-ups and create a final tentative plan in packaging and visual image design. Companies can receive up to 30 million won in design development aid.
